The beginnings of a promising collaboration with Dassault Aviation

92 Rafales by 2022, 164 by 2023 already... The Dassault Aviation group is seeing its orders for military aircraft skyrocket in the current geopolitical context. "Unprecedented", according to the aircraft manufacturer. For the civil market, the order book is also filling up, with the development of the Falcon range (6X, 8X and 10X).

Background and challenges

92 Rafales by 2022, 164 by 2023 already… The Dassault Aviation group is seeing its orders for military aircraft skyrocket in the current geopolitical context. “Unprecedented”, according to the aircraft manufacturer. For the civil market, the order book is also filling up, with the development of the Falcon range (6X, 8X and 10X).

Dassault Aviation therefore needs to find new suppliers to keep pace with the increase in production rates.

SEGULA Technologies joined the ranks, and the aircraft manufacturer decided to test its technical experience and its ability to find the rare pearls that would fully integrate into its ranks to meet the increased workload. A successful challenge for SEGULA Technologies, and one that will open the door to new and even more motivating partnerships.

The issues

  • Dassault Aviation was looking for a new supplier to meet the production needs of a full order book.

  • The aircraft manufacturer was also looking to increase its production rates, or even double them, to satisfy each of its customers worldwide.

  • It was confronted with a scarcity of aeronautical equipment supplies and a shortage of skills.

  • The customer was also faced with the problem of the quality of its processes and the qualification of its personnel.

« This is just the beginning. In January 2023, Dassault Aviation wanted to test our ability to enter into its processes and offer experienced profiles with a project at its Anglet site. In March 2023, Dassault Aviation asked us to respond to a call for tenders for the Falcon, and proposed that we join them in a new phase of production rate acceleration for the Rafale next September. »

Gonzague Malherbe - Manager of SEGULA Technologies' Bordeaux New Aquitaine branch.

Our missions

On site, a referent is present to act as a link between all employees and facilitate this integration.
  • Safety training for new SEGULA Technologies employees.

  • Technical assistance for aircraft sections at Anglet, with the ambition of working in the future as a project team on larger-scale projects and developing the partnership with Dassault Aviation throughout France.
