On our completely visibility-protected calibration track, we offer our customers suitable conditions for a wide range of driving manoeuvres such as starting, stop & go, or idling (the so-called traffic jam drive). For reasons of traffic safety, these can only be performed on public roads to a very limited extent.
On this route, our application engineers optimize the engine control system in terms of tip-in & let-off, oscillation control, noise, gearshift performance, boost pressure build-up and control.
The access road represents a separate test section. Defined dips and crests are driven through here, which is helpful for evaluating cruise control, for example.
For further tuning work, a hill section and also a high-speed circuit are available at our test center in Rodgau-Dudenhofen.
