Initially developed to store energy at sea, REMORA technology is now being extended to land-based energy storage solutions. The principle, developed and patented by SEGULA Technologies, is as follows: storage is achieved through the isothermal compression of air, maximising the use of renewable energies by storing excess energy for later use.

REMORA Home is a domestic energy storage solution for individuals. The size of a water heater, REMORA Home can store the energy produced by a renewable energy source (e.g. solar panels) for use when needed. Its overall efficiency of 70% means that most of the stored renewable energy can be recovered.

In addition to renewable production, REMORA Home also enables users to intelligently optimise their home’s consumption. The solution not only provides recommendations to encourage self-sufficiency and self-consumption, but can also control household appliances according to renewable production and available energy stocks.

Pilot projects are currently being prepared to test the effectiveness of the technology and prepare for its industrialisation.

With its various variations, REMORA offers an economical, ecological and versatile response to the energy storage needs of the future.
