In order to guarantee the fittability of a vehicle’s various units, from the unpainted body to the wheels, including the tank, seats and dashboard, it is essential to define assembly processes and to incorporate all these requirements from the vehicle’s design phase.

The method preparation technician is involved in product/process co-design, validates the fittability of components, defines procedures and evaluates the assembly time and conditions.

He/she works closely with the business manager, who coordinates integration of the resources needed for the assembly process, from the study phase to the start-up of facilities.
Together, they monitor the project as far as the stage when the rate of production is increased, before transferring it to a team entrusted with mass production
