SEGULA Technologies Germany strengthens its management team with the return of Xavier Chapuy

The engineering service provider SEGULA Technologies welcomes Xavier Chapuy back to its management team in Germany. Chapuy assumes the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO) Vehicle & Powertrain, following his return from SEGULA Technologies USA.

SEGULA Technologies in Germany strengthens its management team with a familiar face: After two and a half years as CEO of SEGULA Technologies USA, Xavier Chapuy (48) returns to his former workplace in June 2024. Xavier takes on the role of Chief Operating Officer Vehicle & Powertrain, for Engineering & Testing.

From 2019 until early 2022, Xavier Chapuy pioneered the establishment of SEGULA Technologies in the German market. The native Frenchman played a key role as Head of Operations in the acquisition of Opel’s development and testing facilities, and integrated additional German sites into the organisation. Afterwards, he took charge of the Vehicle Development & Testing division in Germany. In 2022, he moved to Detroit, Michigan, where he served as CEO of SEGULA Technologies North America.

“Xavier has been instrumental in building forward-looking and successful business operations in recent years, contributing significantly to the international growth of SEGULA Technologies,” comments Dr. Holger Jené, CEO of SEGULA Technologies Germany. “He is well-connected within our group and serves as a valuable liaison to our French headquarters. Having Xavier back on our management team is a great asset for us, and I am very pleased to collaborate closely with him again.”

It’s impressive how the company has evolved over the last two years during my time in the USA, further establishing itself strongly in the German market. Being back and collaborating with old and new colleagues is a great joy for me. Together, we will continue to expand our extensive portfolio of offerings and actively shape the mobility of tomorrow,” says Xavier Chapuy. Holger Jené adds, “In Germany, we aim to be an end-of-lifecycle partner for combustion engine technology for our customers, while also growing in the field of electromobility, remaining adaptable to changing market conditions, and expanding our industry diversification towards aviation, shipbuilding, and rail. Xavier’s appointment plays a crucial role in this effort – he brings the expertise, experience, and necessary mindset.”
