Present in Morocco for over 20 years, the engineering group SEGULA Technologies is continuing to expand in the Kingdom with the opening of a new design office in Tangiers.
A strategic site to support major industrial transitions
This strategic move to the north of the country, a major industrial hub, aims to strengthen the Group’s proximity to its customers and support them in their transformation in various sectors:
- Automotive and mobility: by offering technological solutions to support the transition to electrification, the digitalisation of processes and the development of intelligent vehicles.
- Aerospace: by offering its expertise in engineering, tooling, production services, maintenance and manufacturing through its subsidiary SIMRA.
- Energy and environment: working on the development of renewable energies, the optimisation of industrial infrastructures and the integration of new energy solutions.
- Rail: modernising infrastructure and systems for more efficient, connected transport networks.
Located close to Tangiers TGV station, the office covers 500 square meters and already employs 40 people, with a target of 100 by the end of 2025.
Developing local talent: a strong commitment
“The Tangiers region is rich in highly skilled human resources. By locating here, we know that we will be able to draw on a pool of qualified talent that we aim to develop and enhance. In particular, we have put in place an ambitious training and support program: intensive two-month training for young graduates, career paths to help them adapt to new technologies, etc. Thanks to this specific training, we can offer our customers cutting-edge expertise,” explains Abdelilah Farouk, Senior Vice-President of the Mediterranean Region.
Growing strength in engineering
With more than 1,300 employees in Morocco and a twenty-year presence in the country, SEGULA Technologies is a key engineering player serving local and international industries. After Agadir and Casablanca, this new facility in Tangiers marks a further step in its commitment to innovation and sustainable development in Morocco
By 2025, the Group aims to be a major player in the energy sector, supporting its customers in their energy optimisation, electrification and smart infrastructure development projects to meet the challenges of efficiency and sustainability. This dynamic is perfectly in line with Morocco’s energy objectives, which aim to achieve 52% renewable energy by 2030, reduce its energy consumption by 20% and cut its dependence on imports while reducing its CO2 emissions.
