Madrid, 18 November 2019 – The international engineering group SEGULA Technologies continues to expand and grow in Europe with the opening of two new offices in Spain, one in San Sebastián and the other in Puertollano (Ciudad Real). The creation of these two new agencies confirms SEGULA’s desire to consolidate its presence on the Spanish market and develop a personalised service for each of its clients.
SEGULA Technologies once again demonstrates its commercial strength while remaining a leader in a very competitive market, and in various industrial sectors such as automotive, aerospace, energy, rail, shipbuilding, the pharmaceutical sector and petrochemicals.
With the opening of these new offices, 50 professionals will join the local teams of SEGULA Technologies. The company’s workforce in the territory will therefore be 1,200 employees, mainly engineers from the various industrial branches in which SEGULA Technologies is developing its projects in Spain.
The Puertollano office (Castile-La Mancha region) will manage operations mainly focusing on the development of engineering projects and strategic consulting in the Oil & Gas sector. In this area, SEGULA can also capitalise on the experience of its centre in Cartagena and is able to offer a full range of services ranging from engineering (intervention between feasibility studies and construction studies) to assistance in the acquisition and supervision of the construction of facilities. With the opening of this new space in Puertollano, the Group will be present throughout the life cycle of oil and gas projects, from extraction to distribution.
The new office in San Sebastián will be located in the Gipuzkoa Science and Technology Park, which will be part of the Zaragoza Centre of Excellence and will be dedicated to railway activities. The projects led by SEGULA Technologies are supported and developed for the main local manufacturers, making it the largest engineering company in Spain in rolling stock development.
Carlos Pilarte, SEGULA Technologies Spain CEO, says: “In recent years, our country has become an international reference and a strategic location for many companies. Thanks to its innovative entrepreneurship and advanced technology, Spain offers opportunities for the development of high value-added projects.” He adds that “with the opening of these two new offices, we are strengthening our national and international presence, confirming our vast experience in international affairs.”
The opening of these new offices represents a new step in SEGULA Technologies’ international expansion plans. The Group has currently more than 140 offices worldwide.
