- SEGULA Technologies, the global engineering group and pioneer in the industrial application of digital technologies, will be at the International Paris Air Show from 17 to 23 June 2019 in Hall 2B stand E125.
- The stand will feature two systems showing possible applications of new digital technologies in the domain of aerospace: a scenario of digitalising a completion process illustrating SEGULA’s capabilities in augmented reality and artificial intelligence, and a 3D-printed turbine vane frame showing its capacity for additive manufacturing.
Paris, 04 June 2019.
As a major partner to key players in the domain of aerospace, SEGULA Technologies offers integrated product and process engineering solutions as well as production activities and associated services.
SEGULA has also developed an offer to support its clients in their digital transformation and their quest for operational excellence. Augmented reality, artificial intelligence, 3D scanning, additive manufacturing… SEGULA Technologies is working on many projects around these technologies.
SEGULA’s added value lies in its proficiency in the industrial environment combined with profound expertise in everything to do with 4.0 – a combination which means the Group is able to respond to its clients’ issues in a relevant and proactive manner.
At the Paris Air Show the Group will use two systems to present its expertise in 4.0 technologies:
Digitalisation of the completion process for an aerospace structure
SEGULA will use a smartphone app and support tool with DIOTA augmented reality technology at its stand to demonstrate a realistic and comprehensive scenario of completion activity (finishing a part) on a representative aerospace structure.
In this scenario the smartphone app facilitates operations between technical coordinator, technician and quality controller. This improves the performance, quality and monitoring of completion services. The support tool uses augmented reality to explicitly indicate operations to be performed and support and validation steps. Using this solution ensures the quality and speed of performing operations.
Reconception and additive manufacturing for a turbine vane frame
SEGULA will also use its stand to present a turbine vane frame produced by 3D printing in collaboration with the Institut Supérieur de l’Aéronautique et de l’Espace (ISAE-SupAero) for a large world-renowned engine manufacturer.
SEGULA Technologies uses additive manufacturing to revolutionise production of this part at all levels: considerable simplification of manufacturing processes, time saved in production (everything presented at the stand is produced in one day, compared to several months with the traditional method), global increase in mass and volume, lower production costs, performance optimisation.
The SEGULA Technologies stand will host the start-up Asystom who will present a universal and autonomous turnkey predictive maintenance solution for industrial equipment.
On Thursday 20 June, as part of the “La passion à portée d’Elles” initiative run by our partner Elles Bougent, SEGULA Technologies will also welcome groups of female college and university students so they can learn about careers in engineering.
